The Georgia Horse

Medical Pet Sitting . Animal Boarding . Pet Photography

Welcome

Welcome to The Georgia Horse! The Georgia Horse’s editor-in-chief is Dr. Jessica Trogstad, DVM.  Dr. T is a licensed veterinarian living in the Atlanta, GA area.  Dr. T owns and operates a pet sitting company (Dr. Trogstad’s Pet Sitting) for medically needy and terminal ill animals, both large and small.  On top of giving great care to her patients, Dr. T also shares her love of photography by photographing pets and families through out the Atlanta area.

The Georgia Horse started 2 years ago as a place to find resources for rescued and neglected horses in Georgia, as Dr. T brought along her own horse who started out as a neglect case, Scuba.  As Dr. T’s company has evolved, so has The Georgia Horse. The Georgia Horse is now home to Atlanta’s pet photography and pet sitting needs, and soon will be serving as a horse boarding and rehabilitation service as well.the georgia horse logo

We hope that you stick around, learn something, can use our services, or that we can answer any questions that you may have.  Thanks so much for stopping in!

Meet the Horses of Trogstad Farms

"Scuba" is an 8yo Arabian Gelding who has been with us since he was 4. He was a neglect case but now enjoys the finer things like peppermints, back massages, and prancing around the arena all fancy.

"Tyson" is a 4 year old TB gelding that never made it off the training track.  He was a starvation case and now has gained almost 400 pounds.  He is currently working lightly under saddle.
